Robert Gienko

Robert C. Gienko is President and founder of Strategic Reimbursement Group, LLC, a national Medicare third party and financial consulting firm.

Mr. Gienko’s 45+ years of health care experience was developed through his employment with Blue Cross Health Care Services Corporation, Chicago, Illinois and, for the last 40+ years, as President of Strategic Reimbursement. In his capacity as President, Mr. Gienko has built Strategic into one of the largest third party and financial consulting firms with approximately 400 health care clients across the country. Strategic’s clients include major, multi-hospital systems in addition to individual critical access hospitals that are both for-profit and not-for-profit.

Over the years, Strategic Reimbursement Group has developed a national reputation of being one of the premiere third party firms in the country. They have assisted and collaborated with numerous accounting firms, large and small, along with major law firms on a wide range of projects. In addition, Mr. Gienko and/or his staff have worked closely with all the MACs across the country as well as CMS and OIG. They have participated in numerous provider appeal situations locally and in national “class action” situations. They have deep expertise in the preparation of appeal position papers and have provided testimony on numerous occasions to the Provider Reimbursement Review Board.
